Yoga and Motherhood: Finding Practice in the Chaos

Before motherhood, my practice was full and consistent. I could travel to the other side of london to check out a yoga teacher. I could go to class 3-4 times a week. My sadhana was sometimes 90 minutes long. Asana, mantra, breath work. I had so much time! Even during pregnancy I could still practice at my leisure.
Everything changed when Tafari was born! It was a complete roller coaster, with blissful highs and heart wrenching lows, I hardly practiced at all for over 2 years. I only taught my classes consistently. Which my teacher told me never to do. Teach without a home practice…

Slowly my practice is creeping back in. We moved to Ramsgate and living by the ocean gave me the space and the healing I needed to finally get back to myself and my practice
Now, living partially in India has given me the time to really get back into my body, calm my mind, peel of the layers (so many layers!) and be the embodied teacher i used to be!
I’m looking forward to stepping into my power and serving in a way that feels natural and authentic to me. Taking it one step at a time
